![]() The peak of each wave is when you first try to tackle the next level of dungeon for the first time. The game basically has a rising wave pattern to its difficulty. After playing a bit more I realized that the level cap on the dungeons ads a massive layer of both complexity and difficulty to the game. It prevents people from simply taking the brain dead path of over leveling to cake walk through any obstacle that is in their path. The level limit annoyed me at first because it seemed kind of arbitrary, but it definitely was an excellent choice from a development stand point. You should get there and see for yourself. I think you might have some misconceptions about the end game. What are you guys thoughts about DD's endgame? I mean it certanily has one if you start a new game all the time, but it's just not my way.Īnd what do you wish for in the, possible, next expansion? ![]() I would love an expansion in the future which adds the endgame many people really want, because starting completely over every time to play a harder mode where there is a time limit of 90 weeks or it's game over is just not worth it for me. If i invest so much into a game i want to play it until im sick of it or i play something casual for a playthrough once, but DD is in a weird spot between those two things and smh it's keeping me from keeping to play it. ![]() ![]() I'm not willing to invest so much of my rare free time and brain cells (i REALLY have to dig into it to really get it going) into a game which is played through once like a normal, more casual game, if you know what i mean. But basically it's just played through once and then your heroes are gone after the "Darkest Dungeon." What's also killing it for me are the mission level limits. I thought it would be like other Roguelikes, going on forever, just like The Binding Of Isaac, Diablo, etc. So i started DD and it got one of my favorite games of all times very fast, but now im VERY disappointed of the endgame content. ![]()
